Miss Teen America is looking for
a well-rounded, "girl next door."
Our state pageant
will be a fun-filled time for all participants.
All Contestants will compete in the following areas: |

Interview: 20%
Personal interviews with judges--You will need a Dress or Suit for Interview,
taupe/skin toned shoes or shoes dyed to match your outfit.
The judges will
be looking for a young woman with a strong sense of reasoning, who
can articulate her opinions effectively.

Talent or Spokesmodel: 20%
Talent presentation with a maximum time limit of two minutes
or
Spokesmodel presentation. Spokesmodels will be judged on their
ability to speak to a large group as they deliver a one minute
commercial/public service announcement on their state, town or any
subject they wish.

Physical Fitness, Teens:15%
Runway modeling of conservative, one-piece solid color swimsuit.
Judges will be looking for the
individual who is physically fit, energetic and healthy, with a strong
sense of self-esteem. We highly recommend competition swimsuits.

Physical Fitness, Jr. Teens: 15%
Runway modeling of an aerobic wear outfit and sneakers. Judges will be looking for the
individual who is physically fit, energetic and healthy, with a strong
sense of self-esteem.

Formal Eveningwear: 15%
Delegates will be judged on grace,
poise and elegance of carriage during their presentation. Each delegate
must wear a floor length gown, which is age appropriate.

Modeling: 15%
Each delegate will model an outfit
of her own choosing. It must be age appropriate and it should portray
the delegate’s teen spirit. No torn jeans or high glitz attire will be
permitted.

Photogenic: 15%
Delegates will be judged on facial beauty and overall cover model
look from their choice of submitted 8 X 10 inch color photographs.
